Bleached Bones is a private studio on High Street in central Newfoundland. One client a day, no walk-ins, no music you didn't agree to.

Every piece starts as a drawing made for your body specifically. Nothing goes on skin until you've seen the design at full scale and said yes.

The process

From idea to skin.

Four steps, no surprises. We walk every client through the same unhurried process.

01
Book your appointment

Pick your date and time, pay the $25 booking fee, and tell us your idea, placement, and any references you love.

02
See your custom design

Holly draws your piece from scratch, scaled to your body. Nothing is templated. You approve the design before anything touches skin.

03
Your sitting

One client a day. The studio is yours — your music, your pace. Sessions run 2–7 hours depending on the piece.

04
Heal & touch up

We send you home with full aftercare instructions. One free touch-up is included within six months if anything heals unevenly.

Aftercare

Questions,
answered.

Bleached Bones
The first three days×

Leave the wrap on for the hours we agreed, then wash with clean hands, unscented soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry with paper towel, never a cloth. A rice-grain of unscented lotion, twice a day, is the whole routine — more is not better.

What to avoid+

No pools, lakes, hot tubs or baths for two weeks; showers are fine. Keep it out of direct sun until it has fully settled, then use SPF 50 on it forever — sun is the only thing that genuinely ages a tattoo. No gym on a fresh piece if the sweat will sit under clothing.

Peeling and cloudiness+

Around day four it will flake like a sunburn and the colour will look dull and milky. That is the top layer of skin, not your tattoo. Do not pick, scratch or exfoliate it. Everything looks flat until roughly week three, then it sharpens up.

Touch-ups+

One free touch-up inside six months on anything that healed unevenly, provided the aftercare was followed. Fine line on high-friction areas — fingers, feet, inner wrist — is expected to need maintenance and is quoted separately.
